This web site is the homepage for the MSU Forest Pathology Research Program and an information hub for forest and shade tree diseases.
The Sakalidis lab uses next-gen tools alongside traditional pathology tools to mitigate and respond to tree diseases (detection, identification, pathogenicity and population analysis) and improve tree health (curative and preventative management).
Our research is focused on four major themes- emerging endemic diseases, invasive exotic diseases, detection and management. We are always on the lookout for new problematic tree diseases in forested and urban settings.
If you think your research interests align with ours, please contact Dr. Sakalidis.
